Duarte training workshops vary in length depending on the subject matter and learning objectives.

Our most popular in-person training workshops are held on a single day. Live online offerings are broken up into 4-hour blocks over two (2) days. Both in-person and live online offerings feature breaks throughout and allow time for lunch.

You bet! Both our public and corporate training workshops have the same curriculum.

However, corporate workshops may be adapted to meet your organization’s unique learning goals.

That said, we don’t offer cancellations for seats in public workshops.

However, we’re happy to extend a one-time transfer of your purchase to a different workshop in the same calendar year. Or you can transfer your current seat to a new participant.

All Duarte Speaker Coaching sessions are customized to meet the speaker’s unique needs. However, a typical session has one of two goals: Rehearsing or preparing for an upcoming presentation, pitch, or high-stakes interaction; or building speaker skills over time.

Event-focused speaker coaching sessions can cover the following areas: 

• Stand-and-deliver practice to learn content and polish delivery.
• Weaving story into prepared or spontaneous remarks to anchor messaging or highlight key data points.

• Two (2) 50-minute virtual speaker coaching sessions
• Two (2) written summaries following each coaching session

Five (5) session speaker development coaching

• One (1) 15-minute kick off call with a Duarte Speaker Coach
• One (1) development plan outlining session goals and exercises
• Five (5) 50-minute virtual speaker coaching sessions
• Five (5) written summaries following each coaching session to guide development and track improvement
• Recordings of each coaching session.

Yes. For groups delivering different parts of a presentation or appearing together on a panel, speaker coaching sessions are great rehearsal spaces to fine-tune content and presence.

With the help of a Duarte Speaker Coach, groups can align on material and receive expert guidance to ensure peak performance during high-stakes moments.

However, we do recommend groups avoid having “silent observers” during 1-on-1 coaching sessions. Instead, all participants should be prepared to contribute for maximum impact.

Absolutely. While all Duarte Speaker Coaches are experts in the field, we understand the importance of finding the right fit to encourage skill development.

Before coaching sessions begin, a Duarte Solution Architect will circulate bios of available speaker coaches and help schedule a 15-minute introductory call with a coach prior to completing your purchase.

We’re also happy to accommodate calendar availability and time-zone needs when pairing speakers and coaches.

No. Duarte Speaker Coaches can help guide you through the process of creating and improving content and visuals from initial brainstorming to offering their expert critique.

However, they will not do the work for you. Afterall, the aim of Speaker Coaching is skills development and retention.

No. We currently run our public workshops from 09:00 – 12:30 PT.

There are no prerequisites for Duarte training workshops. While concepts do build upon each other, we recommend starting with the most urgent skill gap.

That said, learners often find it beneficial to start with Resonate® to establish storytelling best practices before moving on to Slide:ology® or DataStory®.

Afterall, story underpins everything.

There’s no required order, but many learners begin with Resonate® (storytelling) or Slide:ology® (design), then add DataStory® (data storytelling and executive summary) or Captivate™ (delivery and executive presence) depending on their development goals.

No. DataStory® teaches learners how to tell compelling, data-backed stories and make actionable recommendations to decision-makers.

Currently, DataStory®, which covers data storytelling, is only offered for live instruction. On-demand versions may be considered in the future.

Captivate™ is a coaching-intensive workshop with small group sizes. It includes practice, video recording, and personalized instructor feedback for impactful, hands-on learning.

Slide:ology®’s workshop setting offers in-depth design skills with coaching. It gives structure on how to approach designing slides to elevate an overall message.

Slide:ology® is avaialble in virtual and in-person formats to meet a varity of learner needs.
