Corporate training and workshops
Yes. Duarte offers in-person, virtual, and on-demand training workshops.
Duarte’s instructor led format offers a collaborative, hands-on learning environment to acquire and maintain professional communication and design skillsets.
However, most of Duarte’s in-person workshops are held on-sight for teams, departments, and entire organizations who purchase training packages.

Typically, Duarte learners begin by identifying their most urgent skills gap and choosing the appropriate training workshop.
For teams, departments, and even entire organizations, this can mean working with a Duarte Training Concierge to create a bespoke learning pathway that satisfies learning objectives.
Such learning pathways include:
- Laying the groundwork for new skills to take root
- Scaffolding existing skills to reinforce their impact
From there, Duarte experts and facilitators work to accommodate your unique needs, maximize potential, and implement systems to ensure long term skill retention.
Duarte training workshops vary in length depending on the subject matter and learning objectives.
Our most popular in-person training workshops are held on a single day. Live online offerings are broken up into 4-hour blocks over two (2) days. Both in-person and live online offerings feature breaks throughout and allow time for lunch.
Yes. Seats in public and on-demand Duarte training workshops may be purchased with a credit card.
You bet! Both our public and corporate training workshops have the same curriculum.
However, corporate workshops may be adapted to meet your organization’s unique learning goals.

However, we’re happy to extend a one-time transfer of your purchase to a different workshop in the same calendar year. Or you can transfer your current seat to a new participant.

Individual training
Each in-person and virtual training workshop includes:
- Live instruction from a Duarte expert
- A printed workbook and digital materials for later reference
- Templates, tools, and practice exercises to enhance learning goals.
Public training workshops are scheduled monthly or more frequently to meet demand.
No. We currently run our public workshops from 09:00 – 12:30 PT.
There are no prerequisites for Duarte training workshops. While concepts do build upon each other, we recommend starting with the most urgent skill gap.
That said, learners often find it beneficial to start with Resonate® to establish storytelling best practices before moving on to Slide:ology® or DataStory®.
Afterall, story underpins everything.
There’s no required order, but many learners begin with Resonate® (storytelling) or Slide:ology® (design), then add DataStory® (data storytelling and executive summary) or Captivate™ (delivery and executive presence) depending on their development goals.
In-person training workshops offer the chance for deeper connection and provide real-world settings to put skills to the test. However, virtual workshops can meet a variety of learner needs and represent a growing demand to excel in remote-first environments.
We recommend this progression:
- Resonate® to build a firm storytelling foundation.
- Slide:ology® to think like a designer and create clear, crisp visuals.
- Captivate™ to excel at delivery and presence for any audience.
Executives and senior leaders often build a custom speaker coaching package so they can have 1-on-1 guidance and expertise from a dedicated Duarte coach.
For workshops, they benefit most from Resonate® to sharpen strategic storytelling and Captivate™ to elevate executive presence. For senior leaders presenting on and making data-driven decisions, DataStory® is also highly recommended.No. DataStory® teaches learners how to tell compelling, data-backed stories and make actionable recommendations to decision-makers.
Currently, DataStory®, which covers data storytelling, is only offered for live instruction. On-demand versions may be considered in the future.
Captivate™ is a coaching-intensive workshop with small group sizes. It includes practice, video recording, and personalized instructor feedback for impactful, hands-on learning.
Slide:ology®’s workshop setting offers in-depth design skills with coaching. It gives structure on how to approach designing slides to elevate an overall message.
Slide:ology® is avaialble in virtual and in-person formats to meet a varity of learner needs.
