    Thanks for the tips,
    but I have a question:
I’m using a laptop with a resolution of 1680 x 1050, so when I use the slide sorter view at 60% the slide are very small and font under 60 pt are unreadable. What magnification % should I use to use that tip?

Thanks, these are great. I agree with havkikp, Keep them coming. One suggestion: Visual may be needed when talking about contrast, color, etc. behind or beside Ryan when he mentioned colors to avoid…compare and contrast.

  • Love the storytelling tips from Nancy. Transparency, openness, vulnerability — all are part of the new paradigm of leadership.

Great tips, especially on 66% view for checking font sizes for slideshare.

    Thanks Team Duarte! *:-)

  • Hi Nancy, just a quick note to say your blog has been an inspiration, especially on how to use slides more effectively. I have just done a presentation where I use storytelling and I’ve posted here in slideshare with the audio. Just an example of what you are talking about I think. http://www.slideshare.net/ShawnCallahan/storytelling-for-community-engagement

    • Hi Shawn, GREAT job. I’m happy you used the file+audio feature. ‘Cuz it isn’t a presentation without a presenter, it’s a document. Good content too. Congrats

When using images, let’s not forget Creative Commons. A place like Flickr’s Creative Commons is a good place to find copyright friendly images. But, as always, provide attribution with use, and make sure you are familiar with the varying levels of CC licensing.

  • Yannick, great question! On a laptop with that resolution, you should set it to 100% magnification in slide sorter mode. That may still be a bit small, but it will ensure that even if your slideshare presentation gets posted on a blog and reduced in size, it will still hold up. The main thing to keep in mind is not to go too small with your type. Thanks for your questions!

Hi everyone, I discovered your blog two months ago and I read all your posts. I learned and laughed a lot. I’m waiting for episode 4 about cheesy animations 🙂

My question : Which tool do you advice to add audio on a presentation ? Thanks, Vincent, France.
