Happy Fry-day! A Good Time for a Good Cause

By Paula Tesch

The only thing better than a Friday is a Fish FRY-DAY!

Last Friday, we hosted our second annual Fish Fry to benefit an orphanage in Mexico. Last year, we raised enough to build a sustainable aquaponics system, and it’s working out so well we got together to help expand it.

Everything about the evening was great, but the highlights were the Stoney Ridge Bluegrass Band, a generous donation of two kegs from Pyramid Brewery, and the moment we realized we hit our goal!

Check out some photos from the event (Thanks, Gritphilm!) and scroll down to see where our funds are going. Special thanks to our generous donors, planning committee, and the man with the plan, Andrew Heine.
