For the fifth consecutive year, the PowerPoint Live User Conference is holding its Design-a-Template contest. The winner gets a free trip to the Fall conference. This conference is really fun and has a strong sense of community. Rick Altman has done a good job migrating the agenda to keep up with technological and learning trends.
The panel of judges includes folks who are dear friends: Richard Bretschneider–Senior Program Manager for PowerPoint at Microsoft, indezine editor Geetesh Bajaj, prominent slide designer Julie Terberg, a handful of Microsoft MVPs and yours truly.
One of the requirements is that the template design serve as the backdrop for all of the visuals presented by presenters. In order to be a contender, a design needs to work well for eight hours a day across three days. Deadline for entries is Friday, June 5 and the contest is open to anyone.
I can’t attend the event this year and will miss everyone dearly but I’ll enjoy being looped in on this contest!
